On her journey to her childhood village Vera thought of the wonderful life she had had with George and her family when they’d settled in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

In Tinkerton she wandered down Main Street to the church where she had married. She recognised the man tidying the gravestones. John looked up, smiled and walked towards her. They hugged and chatted as they went to the new cafe.

They recalled the times they had together making Vera feel good and she was pleased when it was suggested that they should meet again.
What would her children say?

Well maybe they might be pleased for her, depending upon what’s happened to George...🥴

This is a nice drabble, but I'm with Neville. I'm concerned about what happened to George!

I’ve had various suggestions about the whereabouts of George but Vera seems to be enjoying the moment. Perhaps her children know all about her little flings.
