The Test

"I'm too scared to look," she said.

"We have to look!" he replied.

She didn't respond.

"Whatever happens, it'll be OK," he promised.

She smiled. "Thanks."

"Anyway, it's a bit late to be worried about what it says now."

"I know, I know. It's just... this could change everything forever. At the moment, we don't know what it says, so it's like it isn't real."

"Of course, love. But it might be real. We need to look now. Come here - we'll look together."

She picked up the pregnancy test to look at the result.

They looked and everything changed forever.
