Interference

David's heart slowed down a little as the thrusters came back on-line. The crew looked mighty relieved to see the warp core cooling down from critical.

"With luck we'll make it back before we're attacked again" said the captain wiping sweat from his brow under the red glow of the emergency lighting.

David sat back, feeling elated that they'd survive to fight another day.
Without warning Lucy appeared next to him.

"What are you doing on the bridge? You haven't got clearance!" David said.

"Yeah, very funny Dave, now turn that shit off and get down stairs. We've guests!"
