Autumn #10

by

Feel greed for me, need for me, read through my night
If the poem’s your Vision then words are your sight.
Sigh with me, lie with me, love me when I burn
Like Autumn, like seasons - I will always return.

Seasons left, eventually. Simply, quietly: inevitably. Because the world turns.

Sing as you pass me, my lover, my friend
Let memories linger like love without end.
Find me, don’t bind me, my spirit defend:
If the year is your Master then Autumn’s your friend.

Season’s my lover, my poem, my friend, she reads to me always, her voice never ends

The end. Exit stage left. Curtain etc :)

This was fantastic, Drew. You can't cage a free spirit, and she definitely was a free spirit. I'm trying to determine whether or not she was a real woman or just an embodiment of an ideal.

Thank you Christopher - yes, very real, but she was way more mature than me at that age (20).and embroidered a bit :)

Oh, that's right. I forgot you said this was based on real events.
