I told her.
Looking down, in case she judged me, found me wanting.
“Ok, let’s be prudent,” she said. “We’ll go to lectures like good little girls and boys. Is that what you want?”
I sought sarcasm but her voice and eyes were softly sincere.
I shrugged. Who knew what I wanted? I didn’t.
“Then do what makes you feel most real,” she advised.
I didn’t know that either.
But I did! Of course I did!
Being with Seasons made me feel real, totally real, nothing else had any importance.
She smiled. “Then let’s change, be sensible,” she said.
