Necklace Guild #1

by

I adore wearing a necklace. Something around one’s neck completes an ensemble and although by its very nature it is a small, often delicate accessory, it adds something indefinable to the whole person, something elusive yet tangible. The feel of the necklace, its gentle touch at the neck, is quite wonderful.

I admit being obsessed by necklaces. It is true they have fascinated and comforted me since a child. Yet I have never felt that I truly deserve them. Perhaps it is that I do not believe in my heart that I truly deserve the beauty they bestow upon me.

This is something which is (may be) of the opposite of “show, don’t tell”, which takes storytelling back to the old days where the storyteller would tell his tale in front of whoever wanted to listen.
Don’t know if I’ll succeed, I’ll leave that to you lovely people to decide, but it’ll be interesting to have a go.

Not quite the oral tradition of stories handed down from generation to generation, but something close- never mind “show, don’t tell”, just tell us a freakin’ story! This’ll probably peter out into nothing, but until it does, thank you for reading…
