"My Lord!" Darion's voice was strained and he threw Hevne's arm off him. He breathed deeply, as if to control his emotion, but his fast words rode the current of his anger:
"We cannot afford a passenger! Or a spy! Kill it and have done with it. We know nothing about this..." Darion sneered, his face showing contempt, "this ugly monstrosity. How do we know it is not some sort of spy of the Fire Warriors? We know nothing! We cannot risk our men getting hurt by this grotesque- "
"Enough Darion!" Hevne ordered, but Darion would not be silenced.

I'm surprised at him, to be honest. Never had him down for insubordination, or panicking either. But maybe stress does weird things to soldiers.
