The Apartment #251

by

Harry closed his eyes.
On one side of him Tisha clung close, on the other, Maya, her hand trembling on his arm. He felt breathing on his skin and knew Daniel clung tightly to both him and Tisha. He heard the quiet woman next to Rick and Tracey, still sobbing.
Eyes closed, Harry composed himself.
It was hard to focus. If that noisy bitch would just shutup!
He rebuked himself for thinking that. Tried again to focus.
And called out with his mind to the alien form.
"We have so many questions. Please help us. Tell us. What is happening?"

Oh wow! What devilry is this?
I've just noticed that if you click on "Change" when posting a new drabble, you can time when it will appear. Very neat, Site Commander, very neat indeed. The question is, do you guys know about this - am I just late to the party? - or is this a clever bit of functionality that's just been introduced?

Yes Drew, I was aware of this, but have only used it a couple of times. It prompted an idea for a drabble, but I won't give the game away ;-)

I promise I will read, vote and comment upon The Apartment series...probably en masse as part of an Apartmentathon. I don't think there is a way I can print them off easily, otherwise I would take them to Greece and read them in the sun (hopefully). I'll be reliant on a 'dongle' there and I'm not sure I'll have enough dingle for too much dongle as it eats up the Euros... But it's a promise...you've given so much effort and I really liked the first few I read.

Thanks Neville :) I'm not sure they're worth paying for, but I feel an end coming soon. Trouble is, I get distracted.... ;)

Yeah, I went on vacation during the first Jake Randolph story a couple of years back, and before I went I prepared all the drabbles and set them to post one each night. I had my (then) girlfriend check to make sure each night that they posted correctly, which thankfully they did. But that's the only time I've used that service. It was nerve-racking. That's why now I make sure I'm done with the stories before I go on vacation.

    Still loving the story, btw.
