She walked out of the bookcase as naturally as walking through a door. Her eyes sparkled and a smile flowered out of the tranquility of her soul.
"Chay, calm your fear," said the lady in white.
I looked swiftly back, enough to see my head drop sleepily onto Rob's shoulder and Rob arrange his jacket over my legs.
I took her hand and we rose through a spectrum of colour.

Here was a quiet place.

Had I had flesh I would have cried, as unlooked-for peace balmed my soul, and contentment and hushed serenity banished every feeling but love.
