Disturbance #124

by

For Rob

If I was an island
None would disembark upon my shores,
None walk my plateaus
Nor scale my peaks nor seek out my meadowsweet.
All, all would be unwelcome.

If I was an island
You would be the ocean and the mist.
Your seas lap my beaches your tides
soft meet my glistening rivers and forge my changing landscapes.

If I was an island
Your silent mists infiltrate:
Gently kiss rock and soil, softly penetrate my forests
And deep cleft valleys,
streaming life and flowing endless love.

None but You, and our skies,
If I was an island.

    Thank you Thomas.
I hope I haven't given you any nightmares, Anna, I would hate that. Here's a hug to keep your dreams sweet (). Thank you for your very kind words though, I appreciate them alot x
Yes, there are some amazingly creative and talented writers on this site, and I say that knowing there are many on here I don't get to see. I've got a lot of respect for people who put their writing "out there", (knowing how nervous I was about doing it the first time) and they are brilliant and fun.
    Long may this place continue!

After all the foregoing horror, this was a beautiful, calming read, Drew.

If I've learned anything from this site, it's to surprise the reader. You do this so
    well, Drew.
