A week, that's all I spent with her.

I was lost in Saloniki, and she watched me half cross a road then turn back.
Her hair was long as a Greek summer and black as a winters night. Her eyes held universes, her smile held me.
"I am your destination," she said.
I'd never lasted six days, seven nights without drugs before.

(I was the rock, she the sea.
I was rock yet she moulded me.)

I have sometimes thought of her since. Before I wrote this, I thought of her unborn child, and what she must look like now.
