Feral Life #10

by

I read the note she’d written for me.

Everything I’ve done has been my own choice. Dont blame me, please don’t blame me.
I can’t take Sleeping Sickness anymore.
When we know babies die and we can stop it. When there’s hunger and we can stop it. What do we do but dream on, nurture our waking sleep because we see our dreams but not our realities. No-one chooses that, but it’s what happens with Sleeping Sickness. We all have it and it’s contagious.
I cant be part of it anymore.
I love you. Please, don’t blame me.
Sadie

Interesting term "sleeping sickness." There's that saying; "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem." This is a drabble that creates much thought.

Thanks D.M., I think perhaps that saying may be a bit too black-and-white, but it's certainly the idea I'm trying to get over here, and also how sensitive people find it difficult to cope with societies acceptance of "wrong". And by not taking direct action I'm as much part of the problem as anyone, so maybe this is my tiny contribution :)
Thanks to you and others for taking the time to comment and for being supportive
