A writer in a room speaks aloud:

“I write more with a keyboard.
I write better with a pen.

“I know I write. What I don’t know is how or why.

“Rooms take on the function we attribute to them. Consequently they control what happens within them, limiting our actions to certain kinds of behaviour. Thus, by extension, we restrict ourselves and deny the blame.

“I have made a list of everything I own. It took 90 minutes. Then I made a list of everything I truly own. It took 12 days. There was nothing on it.”

Then he sleeps.

Pessimistic, but philosophical. I sense a great deal of deep meaning within these 100 words. Fantastic work!

I get the sense that, life as a journey from cradle to grave, gives us opportunities to acquire possesions. However, we can't take them with us, and for some that might take longer to work out, than writing an inventory.
