Political Ideology At The Park

Two politically-minded strangers happened upon each other at the park, and they discussed the Nation's issues.
They discussed nearly every issue in existence.
After a couple hours, they realized that they'd solved all of the Nation's problems.
"We need to get these solutions to those that can apply them!" said Albert.
"I agree," said Paul. "I'm on the Conservative Committee, and they'll flip when they hear this!"
"You're a Conservative?"
"Of course, why? Are you a Liberal, or something?"
"I am."
They stared at each other in contempt, and parted ways in disgust.
No problems were solved that day.
