Jamie returned from the playground.
His trousers were torn and covered in mud.
Breathlessly he told mum:
"While I slid down the slide, Johnny had placed his sand toys at its foot.
'WOOSH!', I slid down and landed 'DUFF!' amongst the toys.
'CLONK!', the pail flew up, 'CLATTER!', spilling the sand molds all over me.
I rolled aside, but 'DONG!', the little shovel hit me on the back."
"Poor baby", mum said.
"And when I got up, 'ZONG!', the rake that had lurked there, hit me on the head."
A tear rolled down his face.
"Look at this huge bump!"

Thanks. No other meaning. I was just fascinated by the idea to build a story around the sounds.
And of course about the fact, that the kid is telling everything, before being overwhelmed by the final hit and the resulting bump. ;o)

fun! It was like going down the slide of sounds and then the final hit.
