Down in the yard an unbelievably loud rattle and clatter became audible.
King Olof of Dragonia sighed.

Prince Iarwain had - again - fallen off his war horse Griseldis ...
before she had even moved.

The king stepped back from the castle window.
5 servants were busy, helping the battered figure up again and out of the armour.

Swordplay training started.
Iarwain tried a swing on the teacher.

An hour later his sword was found ... in a tree.

Queen Prunella tried to comfort her husband:
"Never doubt a fairy's gift, dear!

She's certainly meant well,
calling him *Prince Iarwain the Pacific*."

It's a very short version of a fairy tale (Rainbow and the Distant Thunder) I have started writing.
The idea is, that Iarwain, price of dragonia, is being blessed by all the fairies in the kingdom. Unfortunately there also is Melina, the most scatterbrained one, you could imagine.
She tried to make the baby a great war hero, but instead, sneezing during the spell, made him absolutely unable to do any military thing...

    Glad to have entertained you.

This could easily turn into a series. I enjoyed the back story of the sneeze.

As a matter of fact it already has. Only in German and 5 chapters, bigger than drabble size, so far.
