The forest welcomed her like a witch’s house constructed of cake and confectionery. Moriko read copies of the neatly typed notes she’d left for her busy mother, her favourite junior high school teacher and the two kōtōgakkō boys who’d penetrated her with a bottle of Asahi Super Dry.
Moriko couldn’t believe how much litter had been left in the forest, how untidy the place looked. People were so thoughtless.
Moriko had the bottle with her that the boys had used. Her dried blood clung to it’s neck. She broke the bottle and made good use of the piquant glass shard.

I am honestly surprised that anyone else on this website is familiar with the Aokigahara, aka Suicide Forest. As for the drabble itself, I love how very little in it is actually stated completely, but a great deal is implied that makes the story have a much wider reach than 100 words would suggest. I really like this drabble.

Don't know if anyone is interested, but there is a post rock, metal Austrian band — Harakiri For the Sky. Their newest release is called Aokigahara. Soul crunching, depressing music indeed.
Another great Drabble, by the way! :)

Thank you Horrorshow for the disturbing images that this drabble impaled my soul with and I promise to use my new found lunacy to spread the blight of madness to all.....I um mean to say Good Job Horrorshow.
