It's 3:30 AM, and your alarm is set for 4 AM. Your mind is lost someplace between 'dreamland' and 'not-wanting-to-wake-up-land'. You have an epiphany about the story you've been thinking about for months. It will come together, that last piece of the puzzle you need for a great ending. Your store that thought in that safety deposit compartment in your brain. The alarm goes off, and it's still fresh in your mind. You get ready for work, do your daily morning chores, you have a few spare minutes to write it down, then it's lost.

Oh how so many of us know this problem, Gilbert! Love the ‘not-wanting to-wake-up-land’... and know it so well. Need someone to invent a portable thought-scanning/recording nightcap... but if you’ve had a nightcap before you go to bed.... well... all may be lost and just a headache recorded.🥴

‘Convinced I’ll remember it!’ It must be the Sleepy Devil hidden in the pillow who’s responsible.

I once heard the Keith Richards kept dreaming of a magical riff, but couldn't remember upon waking, he bought a tape recorder and all Keef heard was mumbling.
