Silas Josk stared up at the ceiling, his energy level teetering on the brink of a full-on hibernation.
Nothing helped- exercise, alcohol, reading, his phone, the numerous fans that screamed his name; without Julianne Pentstock, his life seemed meaningless.
It'd been four years now. There was no guarantee that she would take him back, but he still remembered her words: "I'll wait for you." With a heavy heart, Silas found a phone book and spotted Julianne's mobile cell number. He dialed it on his own phone.
An older person answered. They conversed briefly.
Julianne had died two years ago.
