The Monster Behind The Door #1
It was not always like this. In the beginning, everything was fine. He was fun and loving, a dream guy.
I was so proud of being with him, my family too.
Both of us Oxford graduates. Great jobs, great futures.
Then slowly, things started to go amiss.
''Leave your job,'' he'd said, ''the house is in a mess, I can't invite my associates in this dump''.
After months of pressure, I finally left my job..
It didn't stop there, though, ''I don't like your friends, they have too much bad influence on you.''
Eventually, one by one, I dropped them.

I find this draft on my drive. I totally forgot about it. Time to rewrite it and see the light!

I've read many like this, but yours at least make it feel lighter and less gore. Good series, Frenchie!

Thank you Verity. I really appreciate your comment.
To be honest, I do not like gore nor graphic description. I am old fashion like this LOL.... I want people to be in the character's head, to feel what she feels... 😉

Sorry I’ve only just started to read this, Frenchie. A tantalising start! I foresee drama and I’ve already started to dislike the bloke. I’ll have to binge on this today!

Thanks Neville and thanks for all your comments. Domestic violence and violence against women and children is a subject that will never shup me up.
It does not care about borders, class, education, poor or rich.

You’re welcome, Frenchie. I had to comment on each one because I was getting emotionally involved. That’s a sign of a great story and a great storyteller.
