Cecilia spent the night crying and got up with red eyes and a runny nose. Sniffing, she poured too much cold milk on her cornflakes as if on autopilot.
Her boyfriend had casually ended their relationship with the usual excuses that she deserves someone better, blah blah blah.
Then this morning came the bank manager's letter. She was seriously overdrawn. Again!
To add insult to injury, while she was feeling sorry for herself, her cornflakes had sunk into the milk. She didn't know what was worse: being dumped, broke or having to eat soggy cornflakes.
Some days, life just stinks.

Being dumped? Well he obviously wasn’t a long termer. Overdraft crisis? It’s part of life... and if it’s you who owes them, then it’s their problem. But soggy cornflakes? That really is the end. Call the Samaritans!

Maybe her boyfriends' biscuits will keep falling into his tea later :-)

We've all had those times where bad things just keep piling in on us. Very well done, Frenchie.
