Prince Charming was not happy. Not only did he lose his princess but he also lost his solid gold watch at the ball.
Cinderella watched as Stepmother tripped and the glass slipper shattered. The Prince looked at her, horrified. That pretty slip of a girl was his last chance. Cinderella hesitated then turned away. Unseen, she threw the second slipper in the bin, lifted her rucksack and left. After all, why exchanging a cage for another, even it if is a golden one? that watch should fetch a good price, enough to buy her a passage to America and more.
