Truce (Gandalf and the Balrog)

Gandalf and his friends were running on the bridge of Khazad-dûm, the Balrog hot on their trail, excuse the pun.
''Wait'', the Balrog was panting hard,''Gandalf, wait''.
But Gandalf was having none of it. He turned around and boomed: '' You shall not pass.''
The Balrog said: '' Please, a truce! day after after day, people are watching this same scene. I need a breather. Care for a cuppa?''
And on this, the Balrog put a kettle on one of its fires, and took out the daintiest china cups out of nowhere, some Digestives and some delicious creme flambee.
