Half my life I've wanted independence, now more than ever. Not only from principle; now from practicality.
We do not want what Westminster wants: not child poverty, rampant inequality, or perpetual austerity; not Trident on our doorstep, social division by divide-and-rule, or pandering to the elite.
Never again should we be done down, or be told we cannot.
We want to stand tall in the world, live on our feet, rather than dying on our knees. Thinking too big? Not at all: let us disprove those who think too small.
More times of servitude and subordination? No thanks.

Thankyou for retweeting! It's been about 18 months distilling everything down to that. Putting it into 100 words made it work, which surprised me - I've posted longer replies on Facebook on the subject!
