The waves rose and dashed upon the cliffs.
The spray flew up then a roar from rocky rifts.
A little girl was amazed and frightened of the thing.
But scared of the water as it sprayed and fling.
The girl thought what made this water move.
Maybe it was Neptune she learnt in her book.
What else could make it crash with what it took.
An old learned man she trusted heard her speak.
“It’s the Sun and Moon interacting with the weather, that makes the waves peak".
The little girl was satisfied, it was the answer she did seek.

The spray from waves upon the cliffs and rocks is awesome. No wonder the little girl experienced such fear... but the amazement is what might make her fascinated by them forever. Nicely done Peter.
