The Pompeians were going about as usual left and right.
An explosion and everyone collapsed, suffering a great fright.
A huge cloud rose above Mount Vesuvius within everyone's sight.
A pyroclastic cloud descended on mount Vesuvius, billowing further down it kept.
The ash and the cloud started covering Pompeii, no-one slept.
People grabbed what they thought, so fast no one wept.
They headed for the boat sheds, find a boat and leave, their thoughts leapt.
But the boat-sheds were empty so to the back of them they crept.
The pyroclastic clouds cooked everyone, all Pompeii, gone, completely swept.
