In classical music I am such a fan.
For Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man.
It starts with a kettle drum fanfare to make way.
Then trumpets take up what it needs to say.
Copland felt it symbolizes the countries most powerful day.
When Common Men come together, their taxes to pay.
It was written in response to a speech in 1942.
About the century of "common man" was to start anew.
Then trumpets and drums alternate roles played.
The others we should allow their names to fade.
It’s the things the common man pay to allow to be made.

I guess I'm uncultured. I immediately thought of Emerson, Lake & Palmer!
