A Classic Tale

The Knight in his flashing armour that gleams.
Shone in the murky green forest it seams.
His quest was to rescue a maid.
From the rotton Duke Erg I’m afraid.
He demanded access to Erg’s castle by request of the king.
Duke Erg let him in, He’d string up this knight to scream and sing.
But the knight flashed sword and dagger and vanquished Erg’s men.
Demanded the maid or more fighting again.
The Duke handed over the maid to the knight.
With hope this would finally end the fight.
The knight finished, left with the maid out of sight
