The Pilot

My story is about WW1 over Belgium. A biplane pilot ties his control stick with a shoelace and then draws the gun and cannon damage on a map.

When finished, he unties his control stick and proceeds to dive down and strafe enemy trenches. Bullets wizz up and through the aircraft. Then the pilot notices a hole in his cockpit and blood leaking from his jacket. He holds tight to stop the bleeding and fly's back to his airfield.

In the hospital they work to save him and finally he is resting in bed.

Three days later he commits suicide.
