The best of Friends

There’s the story of a man, very sick, lying in hospital and visited by his best friend.

They both have a snort of whiskey from a bottle his friend had brought and then they talked about the history of their lives. How they could play poker from a young age in the back streets of a big city and then moved around making a stake.

Then they bought a theater, had people reciting Shakespeare, trained dogs, Magicians, Ventriloquists and marvelous singers.

They talked some more and then laughed and laughed until one man stopped. His friend covered him and left.
