Behind the Iron Curtain #6

by

She smoothes her skirt and eases in behind the table, sitting at my right, her skirt flaring across my leg and her hand ON my leg.

“He’ll bring them over. I said you’d pay.” She is now SO close.

“Of course.” I say

“Angelique,” she smiles that lovely smile.

“Richard.”

“Richard, Couer de Lion!”

Her hand is moving up my leg, I like it.

“This drink, then up to your room?”

“Not tonight, I have a meeting at the British Embassy.”

“Tomorrow?”

“I’m lecturing in the theatre here tomorrow ... daytime.”

“Can I come?” She asks.

“Of course.” I say.

Methinks that Russian beauty had you marked down as a high roller Richard! Good for your street cred at the lecture maybe... or maybe not? 😁

She was Romanian. I think the problems with trying to write this as Drabbles are (a). This is a real account of what really happened, and there are bound to be sections of ‘information’, which everyone will find ‘boring’ (b) I have no idea if anybody is reading them , only if they mark them , (c) What I have read so far all seem to include lascivious detail, which are not always appropriate ... The next episode would have been the rather worrying walk to the embassy, but I am not sure I can bother.

Oh surely a ‘rather worrying’ embassy walk has plenty of potential for drama and a smile?
