Eve of Destruction

He looked upon his finished work and wondered, is it good? Not really such a simple question. While his intentions were beyond reproach, he had to admit that the final result was flawed in many ways.

For a moment he considered smashing it with his mighty fists and turning it into a mush from which he could start again. But if he did, could he truly expect a better result? Perhaps this was the best he could hope to achieve.

Turning out the studio light, the tormented sculptor decided to think about it one more day. Destruction can always wait.
