He looked at the screen one last time, blinked hard and buried his head in his hands momentarily. Mike packed away his things hurriedly.
“Hey Mike, you clocking out early? That’s unlike you.”
“Dentist. Teeth don’t get this perfect by themselves you know.” he said flashing a broad smile.
He felt rivulets of sweat rise on his forehead as he walked towards the door.
The relief set in as he left the confines of glass and chrome behind and sucked in the smoggy air.
Mike had 40 million reasons not to go back to the trading floor the next morning.
