Remind me of the moment we first met,
And instantly knew about our forever.

Remind me of the mountain we climbed together,
And our first kiss at that blazing, ice-capped summit.

[Neuron repair: 30%]

Remind me of our honeymoon;
Those were carefree days and nights.

Remind me of our first home;
I see a road golden with autumn’s touch.

[Neuron repair: 75%]

Talk about the life we built,
Our dreams woven together.

Talk about those people with you,
They are...our children?

You say this procedure will save me,
But from what?

[Neuron repair: 100%]

Tell me who you are.

    I love the juxtaposition of neuron repair and loss of memory/identity plus the two startling questions about the narrator and the narrator's partner(?) at the end. Powerful and thought-provoking, Chris, nice one!

    The mind and memory is so complex, as is the (seeming) simplicity of your story. "But from what?" packs a mighty punch. Excellent!
