When Mike awoke to see a dark shape flitting around the bedroom, he knew that his sins had finally caught up with him. He nearly pleaded for another deal, but this one was already unbearable.

The entity drifted towards the cot in the corner, almost causing Mike to shout out. He shook his head frantically. The creature hissed, motioning towards his elder daughter's room. He froze, gulping for air, and shook his head again. That left one more.

As the creature moved towards his sleeping wife, Mike closed his eyes, tears streaming out.

When he opened them, Laura was gone.
