Teddy Bear

Teddy bear sat on the bed every night. Alice didn’t like it, it kept watching her. Even when she put a blanket over its head it would somehow slip, its black beady eyes would carry on watching her.
Alice had Lorna come for a sleepover, they played till the early hours by torchlight. They ate sweets and crisps. Eventually they fell asleep holding hands, best of friends.
When Lorna woke the next morning her long ponytail lay cut on the pillow. Alice got the blame. Trying to make up Alice gave Lorna her teddy bear who still held the scissors.
