If everything were peachy, you'd sleep.
If you weren't frightened of the next day, you'd sleep.
If you weren't frightened, you were anxious, and if you weren't anxious, you'd sleep.
If you had the money, you'd sleep.
If you'd said the right things to the right people, you'd sleep.
If you'd not said what you'd said, or said what you'd not said, you'd sleep next to her.
But it's not all peachy. You're frightened of the next day. You're anxious and broke, can't say the right thing, and you can't possibly sleep.
Or maybe you shouldn't have had that coffee.

We've all had variations of this monologue going on in our heads at night, nice stuff!

Yes, variations on a theme! You have apparently tapped into my internal dialogue!
