Used to read bits and pieces onto tape for a 'Talking newspaper called 'Newstalk Lambeth. Ended up doing the 'B' side of the tape which was basically the 'Magazine' section. Sometimes indulgently included short stories instead of articles as I'd always wanted to have a go at narrating an audiobook having enjoyed listening to a few. Lots of good short stories, however, took up too much of the forty five minutes I was allotted . Ten minutes seemed an ideal length so googled ten minute short stories and discovered there is this thing called flash fiction, already consumed differently named.

Curious to hear other drabble discovery drabbles though the above turned into more of a general flash fiction discovery account .

Your audio book delivery must have been terrific, Jamie, as your voice narrating various works of poetry online is beautifully mellow, like chocolate pudding. I will try to tell my intro to drabbles and Drablr story drabblifically. It’s not as interesting as yours though... 🥴

This is a nice subject for a drabble, Jamie.
I had a friend on Twitter who followed Drew. She heard about it, I think through Drew's Twitter account, and knew that I was an amateur writer and told me I should sign up for it. She wrote beautiful poetry but lacked confidence so she didn't sign up but I did. I started following Drew on Twitter and he eventually deleted his Twitter account (coincidence?). But after a while drabbling got in my blood. I couldn't stop now if I wanted to (which I don't).
