The Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magelanic Cloud takes it's name from various Spiders called Tarantulas, which take their name from the southern Italian town of Taranto, which gives it's name, changed slightly,. to a Southern Italian dance with many regional variations, called Tarantella, which in an early form, in Medieval times , some believed you'd have to do till you dropped to survive a bite from the aforesaid Arachnid which, with her Bee sting analogous bite, may have been maligned due to confusion with a little black spider called Latrodectus. Tarantella dancers today can be quite uplifting to behold.
