Can you spot the grammatical howler to keep me within the 100 word limit?

Well the line Lose... (4, 3) had me rather fooled, Chris, but the idea is so good as to overlook the missing clue... unless I haven’t got a clue!🥴

I don't do much these days of a teaching nature - Covid saw to that as the recruitment on the CIM course dropped like a lead turd! I tend to do a QA role, occasionally, for UH's Malaysian partner colleges, i.e. checking the standards of assessment match our home institution.

.... I have not forgotten about promising to buy you lunch... it's not me being a tightwad, but our daughter has been in a right state since I last made contact. We're all off to Cornwall for a week and she seems to be cheering up (fingers and toes all crossed). But if you're about week commencing Monday week perhaps we could meet for a pint and some food (on me!) and you can get me up to date on how things are with you? I'm doing a session on drabble writing (what else) for SW on Thursday 15 June at some Stevenage festival and I'd welcome hecklers if you can make it!
