Last Play Time

"Daddy, were going to be ok, aren't we?"

Dave smiled and ruffled Simons hair.

"Daddy will always protect you son"

Dave grabbed Simon and squeezed him tight.

"Lets go out into the garden, we can play football!"

"Yeah!!"

Dave was goalie, watching as his son giggled towards him with the ball at his feet.

"Goal!!" Simon shouted after a shot that made Dave proud.

"Walk backwards when I kick the ball out ok!? It will be more fun!" Dave instructed his son.

Fighting the tears, he beamed as Simon ran towards him, the fireball visibly behind, edging closer to Earth.
