Not Your Typical Hero

Suddenly i am awoken. Flames dancing all around. Carnage, wreckage, pain. My chair's completely intact, the woman next to me wasn't so lucky.

''Get out everyone this planes' about to blow!'' a survivor screams.

I make way through the foggy terror. I stand on people, not knowing if they are alive, but rushing forwards all the same.

Without warning the roof collapses above.

''SHITTING HELL'' i scream, my leg trapped. The dust clears to reveal a girl, pinned to my leg by rubble, whimpering.

It's me or her i think, as, slowly, i watch her being crushed while wriggling free.
