“You look great, Max. Thanks, I owe you.” Leaning on a crutch, he rested his broken leg.

I felt ridiculous.

“What if I’m seen?”

“Don’t worry about it, you’ll be fine.”

Nodding, I hopped in the vehicle and took off.

Things went well until my last job. I finished and turned to leave. I heard a door slam and through the window, saw a man, woman, and two kids, in pajamas, dashing frantically away from the house.

I guess seeing a big, blue demon dressed in a red velvet suit putting gifts under their Christmas tree was a bit much.
