He set down the glass and glanced to one side. Bill was staring, still. Awaiting his answer.

"What the hell," he grumbled, moving the drink from one side to the other.

"In and out," Bill pressed. "Easy money."

At that Jason huffed. When was money ever easy? This entire scam smelled of bullshit and Bill was at the center of it. As usual.

But Jason, glancing over his shoulder at the rig parked outside, was tired of this rambling life. This useless meandering from state to boring state.

One job. In and out. How bad could it be?

"I'm in."
