The night breeze moves the curtains as it flows from the sea. Moonlight flickering through the curtains illuminates the sleeping White Lady. She moves slightly and continues to breathe softly in her sleep. Her eyes flutter with a dream passing through to morning, to be recalled and considered for a meaning.
Over the window sill a leg appears, Then more legs, followed by the body of a Widow creeping silently into the room.
A darkness detaches from the corner, reaches out, and flicks the spider back into the garden, then fades back into the dark and continues his nighttime vigil.
