He could still remember the first time he saw her face, looking back at him from a magazine. Her eyes followed him from the Sunday supplement lying on the coffee table.

Finding her proved surprisingly easy, a moment spent Googling and he knew exactly where she was.

But… once he’d seen her he couldn’t help but wish he understood her better. He never knew what she was thinking, whether she was happy or not. Normally not, he reflected. She never seemed really happy.

He knew he had to deal with this, now.

“Just stop moaning, will you, Lisa?” he said.
