It wasn’t a joke. She was not the type.
It wasn’t a fluke. She never did such a thing.
For weeks, she fought with herself. Reason barely able to win over what the heart wants. The unknown emotion barely able to overcome all her senses. She has always been on top— both in bare intelligence and acquired way of reasoning, but both meant nothing for the past weeks.
Until today, when both compromised. She stood in front of him after class, declaring her feelings with all her courage. But instead of words, laughter filled her ears.
“Sorry, but I’m gay.”
