Girl Thursday

What does a gal look for in a man, I asked myself whilst scanning the lonely-hearts ads. Then the perfect ad found me:

“WANTED – girl Thursday for man’s man on a deserted island. Must be resourceful and unattached. I'm well-built and hairy. I am MAN.”

First flight out. Mr Masculine didn't live up to his billing. Where did he grow up – Munchkinland? Well built? Yeah, right. And the smell – urg. Ghoophy was a gnome.

First flight back. I felt sorry for Ghoophy – the garden centre provided the perfect partner. Thank goodness for Fed Ex.
